Deanna Bottone Rose lived her entire life in Middletown and graduated from Middletown North in 1982. She worked for over 30 years at Bottone Realty Group, helping hundreds of people buy and sell their homes. She coached numerous local youth soccer and basketball teams and was a fan of just about every game and sport in the area, especially soccer and basketball at North. Her son Ryan Rose, a soccer player and leader of North Nation for the basketball team during his HS years, graduated from North in 2013. De was the most courageous and optimistic person you will ever meet. She truly found the good in every individual, and treated all people as she would like to be treated. Her smile literally lit up a room and her heart was always open to everyone with her unwavering support and her gift of listening without judgement. She truly embraced life and lived each day to the fullest, always saying yes to new adventures, new friends, travel opportunities, and stepped up to help anyone in need. "Live Like De" fell into place with ease and we are proud to apply it to our lives, our golf event, and other fundraising efforts as well. Even though her life was cut short in 2017 after 11 months battling an aggressive brain cancer, she lived her life beyond her 53 years with an unbelievable energy and spirit. Her family has set up the Deanna Bottone Rose Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor her memory. The fund awards scholarships to deserving local students, and offers financial assistance and other donations to local families in need. The family looks forward to the joy of helping more people in Deanna's name.
